Danielle R. Miller, MSW, LSW, is a dedicated social worker based in Cincinnati, Ohio, with extensive experience in behavioral health, care coordination, and child welfare. Currently serving as a Molina Waiver Service Coordinator at the Council on Aging of Southwest Ohio, Danielle assists members and families in navigating care options, developing individualized plans, and ensuring access to essential medical and social services. Prior to her current role, Danielle gained valuable experience in inpatient and residential settings. At the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, she provided psychosocial assessments, developed comprehensive intervention plans, and linked patients and families to community resources. She also contributed to process improvements and trained medical staff on addressing psychosocial barriers to care. Her work at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital included facilitating behavioral health programs, implementing individualized care plans, and leading psychiatric educational groups to achieve therapeutic outcomes.

Danielle’s early career highlights her commitment to children and families. At the Center for Addiction Treatment, she provided residential counseling and developed individualized treatment plans for clients with behavioral health needs. At Hamilton County Job and Family Services, Danielle advocated for children’s safety and well-being, managed large caseloads, and coordinated services to ensure permanency and supportive outcomes for families. She began her social work journey with internships at Envision Partnerships, working with adolescents to develop life skills and prevent risky behaviors.

In addition to her social work career, Danielle serves as a First Lieutenant and Executive Officer in the Ohio National Guard, leading military police units and preparing for future missions and deployments. Her military leadership experience complements her clinical skills, fostering discipline, organization, and the ability to lead and mentor teams in high-pressure environments.

Danielle earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Cincinnati in 2024 and her Bachelor of Social Work and Family Studies from Miami University in 2017. She holds an active Ohio social work license (LSW, #S.2511836) and has completed certifications in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, Mental Health First Aid, Nonviolent Crisis Intervention, and child welfare case management. She is proficient in multiple systems, including SACWIS, EPIC, and JCMS, demonstrating a combination of clinical expertise, leadership, and technical skill that supports her comprehensive approach to social work practice.

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?

I truly enjoy hearing other individuals stories and getting to know them as people. I love that I am able to make an impact on someone else’s life whether that is big or small. I know healing and recovery are possible and want to be apart of that journey with my clients.
