What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
What I enjoy most about practicing medicine is supporting individuals with substance use disorders through recovery while addressing their overall health needs. I find fulfillment in building trust with patients who often face stigma or barriers to care and providing compassionate, evidence-based treatment that promotes safety, stability, and long-term recovery. Treating substance use disorder allows me to integrate medical management, behavioral health support, and harm reduction strategies, while empowering patients to actively participate in their care. Seeing patients regain control of their health, reconnect with their families, and improve their quality of life is deeply rewarding and reinforces my commitment to patient-centered, dignified care.
