Yvette Dancel, FNP, MS, APN, BCEN

Yvette is a dedicated Nurse Practitioner based in Millville, New Jersey, currently serving as a per-diem provider at Millville Medical Center within the Inspira Health system. She regularly picks up hours in an internal medicine office and is considering transitioning into a full-time role there. In addition to her clinical work, Yvette is the founder of Hancebridge Health, LLC, a developing telehealth practice designed to expand access to convenient, patient-centered care.

With more than 20 years of experience in the emergency department, including service at South Jersey Hospital (now part of Inspira Health), Yvette developed a strong foundation in recognizing acuity early and responding decisively in high-pressure situations. After earning her Family Nurse Practitioner credential, she transitioned into primary care, with her first FNP role at CompleteCare Health Network, a Federally Qualified Health Center where she treated patients across the lifespan—from infancy through older adulthood. Today, she practices in an internal medicine setting and provides monthly visits to assisted-living residents, helping manage chronic conditions and prevent avoidable hospitalizations whenever possible.

Yvette’s professional philosophy centers on patient-focused care that respects each individual’s lived experiences, cultural practices, and personal health preferences. She values humility, lifelong learning, and collaboration, recognizing that different clinicians may approach care in diverse yet effective ways. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Wilmington University in 2015 and her Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University in 2022, building on her extensive bedside experience to deliver thoughtful, comprehensive, and compassionate care to her community.

Q

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?

What I enjoy most about practicing medicine is the opportunity to make care more accessible and responsive to patients’ needs. I’m especially excited about the potential of telehealth to bridge gaps in access, particularly for patients who face transportation barriers, mobility challenges, or difficulty securing timely appointments. I see virtual care as a powerful way to reduce unnecessary strain on primary care offices and emergency departments while still delivering thoughtful, high-quality care.

At the same time, I recognize the challenges within our healthcare system. Years of working in the emergency setting have shown me the emotional toll and burnout that can come from long-term, high-acuity care—especially when patients struggle to access timely outpatient services. When preventive or follow-up care is delayed, it often leads to avoidable emergency visits. That reality motivates me to be part of the solution by strengthening continuity of care, expanding access points like telehealth, and helping patients receive the right care at the right time.
