Yesenia Canciobello, DNP, CRNA, is a highly skilled nurse anesthetist and healthcare entrepreneur with extensive experience delivering exceptional perioperative anesthesia care for both cosmetic and non-cosmetic surgical procedures. Throughout her career in the operating room, she has built advanced expertise in anesthesia administration, critical care management, airway assessment, hemodynamic monitoring, and patient safety skills that require precision, vigilance, and sound clinical judgment in high-stakes environments.

Yesenia is deeply committed to caring for patients across every phase of the surgical experience. From pre-operative evaluation and risk assessment to intraoperative management and postoperative recovery, she prioritizes individualized care tailored to each patient’s medical history, procedural needs, and emotional well-being.

Known for her uplifting and calm demeanor and meticulous attention to detail, Yesenia is often recognized for her ability to help patients feel at ease during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. She views anesthesia not only as a technical specialty, but as a deeply human one where trust, communication, and advocacy are just as critical as clinical expertise. Ensuring patient comfort, safety, and dignity is central to her practice.

In January 2023, Yesenia founded NEWU by Bello Med Spa, an upscale, patient-focused wellness and aesthetic destination inspired by her medical background and commitment to excellence in care. Recognizing the need for a luxurious yet medically grounded environment, she combined her extensive anesthesia experience with her passion for aesthetics, preventive medicine, and wellness. As the owner, she oversees all aspects of the practice, maintaining the same high standards of safety, precision, and patient-centered care that define her work in the operating room.

Yesenia earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Florida International University and holds certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA, NPI: 1457954737). Fluent in both English and Spanish, she values clear communication, cultural sensitivity, and compassionate care. Outside the clinical setting, she enjoys dancing, which reflects her appreciation for movement, balance, and overall well-being. Her professional mission is to create transformative, safe, innovative and empowering experiences for every individual she serves whether in surgery or wellness.

Q

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?

Providing anesthesia requires constant vigilance, precision, and the ability to make critical decisions in real time. It is a powerful role one that demands not only technical expertise, but deep respect for the individuality of every patient. No two patients are the same, and no two anesthetic plans should ever be approached identically. I take great pride in tailoring anesthesia care to each individual’s unique physiology, medical history, and needs.A particular area of passion and expertise within her anesthesia practice is regional anesthesia. Yesenia strongly believes that regional blocks are one of the most effective adjuncts to any anesthetic plan, offering superior pain control, enhanced safety, and improved patient comfort before, during, and after surgery. When appropriately utilized, regional techniques reduce opioid requirements, improve patient-controlled pain management, and support smoother postoperative recovery. Her commitment to this approach is deeply rooted in both clinical practice and academia, as her doctoral thesis focused on the use of regional anesthesia in mastectomy procedures. Providing patients with optimal comfort and control through regional techniques is one of the most rewarding aspects of her role as a CRNA. Being part of a patient’s surgical journey—and knowing that my expertise helps keep them safe, comfortable, and at ease—is both humbling and deeply rewarding.
