Tonya Clayton is a seasoned nursing leader with more than 27 years of diverse clinical experience, currently serving as a Nursing Manager at ECU Health in Greenville, North Carolina. With deep expertise in hematology and oncology, she is known for her steady leadership at the intersection of patient care, research, and compliance. In her role, Tonya oversees nursing operations and multidisciplinary teams, leading clinical trials while ensuring regulatory adherence, data accuracy, and excellence in patient outcomes.
Throughout her career, Tonya has held a wide range of leadership and clinical roles, including Nurse Specialist in a Sickle Cell Day Hospital, Travel Registered Nurse, Clinical Manager, Clinical Director, and Nursing Director. Her background spans pediatrics, home care, acute care, and research-focused environments, allowing her to bring a comprehensive, patient-centered perspective to healthcare management. She has played a key role in improving patient recruitment for clinical trials, collaborating with pharmaceutical partners, and fostering strong communication across care teams.
