Suzanne Sandhu is an experienced Nurse Practitioner and healthcare leader with over a decade of clinical and managerial expertise across multiple specialties, including endocrinology, internal medicine, rheumatology, primary care, and long-term care. A proud graduate of the University of Missouri–Kansas City, she holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Nursing, earning membership in Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing since 2005. Suzanne’s clinical journey has been defined by a dedication to improving patient outcomes and mentoring fellow healthcare professionals through compassionate, evidence-based practice.

Besides clinical experience, she excelled as a Manager with TapestryHealth where she was responsible for developing successful practices of 16 nurse practitioners and physician assistants across seven states. In this role, she was responsible for onboarding new providers, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance, and building strong, profitable practices within long-term care facilities. Her leadership is marked by a deep understanding of both patient care and operational management—bridging the gap between clinical excellence and organizational success.

Beyond her professional achievements, Suzanne is passionate about community health and volunteerism. She has worked with the American Heart Association, helping stroke patients rebuild cognitive, reading, and math skills as part of their recovery. Suzanne’s lifelong commitment to service, learning, and leadership reflects her belief in the power of nursing to transform lives—not only through direct care, but through education, empowerment, and advocacy for patients and providers alike.

Q

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?

What I enjoy most about practicing medicine is the opportunity to provide individualized care to each patient. Every person’s health journey is unique, and I find great fulfillment in taking the time to understand their specific needs, goals, and challenges. Building those connections and tailoring care plans accordingly allows me to make a meaningful difference in their overall well-being. To achieve this, it is critical to understand each patient's learning style, level of motivation and check their understanding by having them recall the health plan developed collaboratively with them.
