Santita Agnew, BSN, RN, is a dedicated Registered Nurse at NewYork-Presbyterian (NYP), where she delivers high-quality care within the medical–surgical specialty. With a strong academic foundation that includes a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Long Island University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Pennsylvania State University, she brings a unique blend of clinical expertise and scientific knowledge to her practice. Her background as a diversified biologist strengthens her ability to approach patient care with precision, analytical thinking, and a deep understanding of medical safety standards.

Before becoming a registered nurse, Santita built an extensive clinical operations background at The Mackool Eye Institute, where she has served for more than a decade in roles including Surgical Technician and Ophthalmic Assistant. In these positions, she mastered sterile-field management, surgical preparation, intraocular lens handling, ophthalmic testing, and medication administration. Her long-standing tenure in surgical care settings has shaped her into a meticulous, reliable, and highly skilled clinician trusted by both surgeons and patients.

Santita’s professional journey reflects her dedication to continuous growth, adaptability, and excellence in patient care. Whether coordinating surgical equipment, supporting complex ophthalmic procedures, or caring for medical–surgical patients at NYP, she consistently demonstrates strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
