Rebecca Wilsey, RN, MSN
Rebecca Wilsey is an experienced operating room nurse and healthcare leader with more than 15 years of experience in the medical field. Beginning her career as a CNA at just 16 years old, Rebecca steadily advanced through every stage of nursing education, earning her LPN certification, associate degree, Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Regis University, and Master of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University. Her dedication to professional growth and patient care has shaped a career centered around trauma surgery, leadership, and education.
Currently serving as a Clinical Coordinator and weekend night shift charge nurse at Novant Health’s Presbyterian Medical Center, Rebecca oversees operating room operations during critical overnight hours at a Level II trauma facility. She leads interdisciplinary teams of nurses and surgical technologists, coordinating emergency and urgent surgical procedures while maintaining the highest standards of sterile technique, patient safety, and clinical efficiency. Known for her calm leadership in high-pressure situations, Rebecca has earned the trust and respect of physicians, CRNAs, and colleagues who value her expertise, decision-making, and commitment to excellence in surgical care.
Throughout her career, Rebecca has worked across the country as both a travel nurse and charge nurse, gaining experience in trauma centers, outpatient surgery centers, and hospital systems in Colorado, Georgia, Virginia, and North Carolina, as well as internationally. Passionate about mentorship and education, she regularly teaches and precepts nurses on her shift, helping prepare them to succeed in the fast-paced environment of weekend night trauma surgery. Rebecca’s journey reflects resilience, determination, and a lifelong commitment to advancing patient care while supporting the next generation of nursing professionals.
