Rebecca Ledwin, MS, RN, PNP-BC, FAAN

Rebecca Ledwin, PNP-BC, is an accomplished Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with an expertise in Women’s Health Care who has extensive experience in pediatric, women’s, and family health. She earned her BSN from the University of Cincinnati, her MS in Parent/Child Nursing from the University of Michigan, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Women’s Health Nursing from the University of Rochester School of Nursing.

Currently, Rebecca serves in a locum capacity at Golden Valley Health Centers in Modesto, California, providing care as needed while continuing to advance her commitment to patient-centered healthcare. Throughout her career, she has been a passionate advocate for empowering nurse practitioners and expanding access to high-quality, holistic care for families and children.

Advocacy has been central to Rebecca’s professional journey since the early days of the nurse practitioner movement. She has actively participated in legislative efforts supporting nurse practitioners’ ability to practice to the full extent of their training. In addition to her clinical work, she served as adjunct faculty at Monroe Community College, where she taught Clinical Issues in Child Development and Health. Her leadership in education and community health has fostered programs such as parenting co-ops, support groups, and breastfeeding initiatives—including the Rochester Community Breastfeeding Coalition.

Rebecca’s dedication to maternal-child health and community well-being is reflected in her work with high-risk pregnancies, NICU infants, and school-based health programs. She played a key role in establishing the first elementary school–based health center in her city, underscoring her lifelong mission to improve access to compassionate, evidence-based care for children and families.
