Nelson Seabrook, MD

Dr. Nelson E. Seabrook is a board-certified gastroenterologist based in West Columbia, South Carolina. He practices with Consultants in Gastroenterology and serves on call at Lexington Medical Center. Since joining the group in 2021, Dr. Seabrook has focused on delivering patient-centered care, emphasizing the importance of understanding each patient’s unique concerns while providing thorough attention and guidance. His clinical expertise spans reflux, liver disease, colon cancer prevention, and general gastroenterology, and he is known for approaching his practice with an entrepreneurial and high-quality mindset.

Dr. Seabrook completed his medical degree at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2014 and went on to complete his residency at the University of Louisville, including a chief residency year. He then pursued fellowship training in Gastroenterology at the Medical University of South Carolina from 2018 to 2021. Throughout his training and practice, he has developed a strong foundation in advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including colonoscopy, upper GI endoscopy, and management of complex gastrointestinal conditions.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Seabrook is an active member of several professional organizations, including the South Carolina Medical Association, the South Carolina Gastroenterology Association, the American College of Gastroenterology, and previously the American Medical Association. He holds medical licenses in South Carolina and Kentucky and is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Dr. Nelson Seabrook is initiating work as the principal investigator on clinical research with Inovia, focusing on colon cancer screening and blood-based diagnostics.
