Nancy J. Tecu, WHNP-BC, AOCNP

Nancy J. Tecu, WHNP-BC, AOCNP is a retired Women’s Health and Advanced Oncology Nurse Practitioner who devoted over three decades of her career to advancing gynecologic oncology care. Based at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and the Center for Advanced Medicine in St. Louis, she played a key role in the ongoing care of women facing ovarian, endometrial, cervical, and other gynecologic cancers.

Nancy’s clinical expertise included follow-up cancer care, post-operative management, menopausal symptom support, and biopsy procedures involving the vulva, cervix, vagina, and endometrium. She also supported clinical trial participants, provided pre-chemotherapy evaluations, and helped manage chemotherapy-related side effects, including hypersensitivity reactions. Her broad and compassionate approach ensured patients received safe, informed, and continuous care throughout their treatment journeys.

Nancy earned both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (1998) and Master of Science in Nursing (2003) from the University of Missouri–St. Louis. She became board-certified as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and an Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner, credentials that reflect her commitment to the evolving field of gynecologic oncology.

Throughout her long and respected tenure, Nancy championed patient dignity, education, and personalized care—making a lasting impact on patients, colleagues, and the oncology community she served. Now enjoying retirement, she reflects proudly on a career dedicated to supporting women through some of their most challenging and meaningful healthcare experiences.
