What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
I smile a lot, and my patients tend to as well. It's been a joy just to kind of figure out the puzzle pieces to make that happen, whether it's day-by-day medical care, kind of doing what I need to do to keep them healthy and active so they can do their own exercises and therapies to get themselves stronger. I get to be their cheerleaders, be their physician, just be there for them. I like helping people, I like getting to know people, trying to do something small each day to make their lives easier, and make their quality of life better. So this field has been very rewarding in that regard.
