Lovely Philipose, M.D.
Dr. Lovely Philipose, MD, is a board-certified Family Medicine physician with decades of experience providing comprehensive, patient-centered care across diverse clinical settings. She is known for her compassionate approach, strong clinical judgment, and commitment to serving individuals and families through all stages of life. Her work reflects a deep dedication to whole-person care that integrates medical excellence with empathy and respect.
Dr. Philipose completed her Family Medicine Residency at Grant Family Medicine Residency in Columbus, Ohio. She earned her medical degree from Kasturba Medical College in Manipal, Karnataka, India, and also holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). Her academic foundation began with a Bachelor of Science in Cellular and Structural Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, equipping her with a strong scientific and research-based perspective that informs her clinical practice.
Throughout her career, Dr. Philipose has served in a wide range of roles, including Family Medicine Physician, Occupational Medicine Physician, Urgent Care Physician, and Telemedicine Physician. She has practiced in both Ohio and Texas, delivering care in outpatient clinics, urgent care centers, hospital-based settings, and virtual platforms. Her broad experience allows her to skillfully manage acute conditions, chronic disease, preventive care, and occupational health needs.
Dr. Philipose has also held significant leadership roles, most notably serving as Chief Medical Officer and Assistant Medical Director at Lower Lights Christian Health Center in Columbus, Ohio. In these positions, she combined clinical care with medical leadership, mentoring providers and supporting underserved populations. Her work in community health reflects a strong commitment to accessible, ethical, and mission-driven healthcare.
In addition to her clinical and leadership roles, Dr. Philipose is deeply involved in service, education, and global health outreach. She has participated in medical missions to India and Zambia, with a focus on women’s health and care for victims of human trafficking. Her involvement in community programs, faith-based initiatives, and academic presentations underscores her dedication to service beyond the exam room. In recognition of her professional excellence and service, she was selected as an attending physician for America’s Best in Medicine 2026.

What I enjoy most about practicing medicine is the variety it offers. Each day presents new challenges, unique patient cases, and opportunities to apply my knowledge in different ways, which keeps my work both engaging and fulfilling.
