Lorrie Fischer Blitch, DNP, APRN, MSN-Ed, RN, is an accomplished nurse, educator, author, and entrepreneur with a distinguished career spanning clinical practice, academic leadership, healthcare leadership, and innovative educational initiatives. Holding advanced credentials in nursing and a Doctor of Nursing Practice, she has dedicated her career to improving patient outcomes, mentoring future healthcare professionals, and advancing the field of nursing education. Lorrie has been recognized for her contributions to education and leadership, including receiving the Excellence in Education Award from the Education 2.0 Conference and Marquis Who's Who in Education. She brings a unique blend of clinical expertise, strategic vision, and passion for lifelong learning to every endeavor she undertakes.

In addition to her clinical and academic work, Lorrie is a dynamic keynote speaker and respected thought leader. She regularly addresses topics such as long-term educational outcomes following lockdowns, critical care innovations, education versus indoctrination and leadership development. Her international speaking engagements include the 2nd International Meet on Nursing and Healthcare in Paris, conferences in Valencia, Spain, and multiple global education summits, where she continues to influence dialogue on healthcare advancement and professional development.

Lorrie serves as a full-time professor in Jacksonville, where she mentors students and develops curriculum that bridges theory with real-world clinical practice. Alongside her academic role, she leads entrepreneurial ventures, Magellan Christian Academies and Holly Hall Farms Event Center, reflecting her commitment to innovation, leadership, and creating meaningful learning and professional environments. Lorrie is sought after for her knowledge and expertise appearing in many talk show interviews. She is interviewed regularly in the Sea Suite to C-Suite at The Fire Watch.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Lorrie is a published author who has written articles on healthcare. She also authored the children’s book "Sapphire: A Life That Almost Wasn't" highlighting her love for storytelling and inspiring young readers about the value of life. Her personal interests include biking, hiking, playing the piano, cooking, and traveling, which help fuel her creativity and balance. Lorrie’s career is defined by perseverance, discipline, and a tenacious drive to make a lasting impact across healthcare, education, and the communities she serves.

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?

Medicine is always changing and offering new challenges. I enjoy the many opportunities that medicine offers and the ability to expand my horizons further.
