Lisa Campbell, DPT

Lisa Campbell, DPT is a highly experienced physical therapist with more than two decades of experience across home health, outpatient rehabilitation, acute care, and academic settings. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from San Francisco State University, along with an Associate of Science in General Education from Los Medanos Community College. Licensed as a physical therapist in Texas since 2009, Campbell has built a career focused on comprehensive, patient-centered rehabilitation.

Throughout her career, Campbell has worked with patients presenting with a wide range of orthopedic, neurological, cardiac, respiratory, wound-care, lymphedema, and general deconditioning conditions. She currently serves as a Physical Therapist with Choice Health At Home, where she evaluates and treats home health patients, develops individualized plans of care, conducts reassessments and supervisory visits, and oversees physical therapist assistants. Her previous roles with VitalCaring Home Health, AxiomHealth Management, HealthCare Express Physical Therapy, CHRISTUS St. Michael Outpatient Rehabilitation, and Good Shepherd Medical Center further demonstrate her extensive clinical and leadership experience.

Campbell brings specialized expertise in lymphedema management, wound care, pelvic girdle dysfunction, pelvic floor rehabilitation, and dry needling. She has been a Certified Lymphedema Therapist since 2010, earned her Wound Care Certification in 2012, and has been certified in dry needling since 2015. Her clinical skills have earned recognition from referring physicians, including a rheumatologist who specifically refers patients with pelvic girdle dysfunction to her because of her success in treating these complex conditions. She has also incorporated cupping into her clinical practice since 2023.

In addition to her clinical work, Campbell has made significant contributions to physical therapy education. As an adjunct instructor at UA Cossatot, she taught courses including Pathophysiology, Therapeutic Exercise, Neurologic Interventions, Movement Science, and Basic Patient Skills within the accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. She has also delivered lectures on wound care and transverse myelitis and has participated in professional presentations on dry needling and lymphedema. From 2016 to 2022, she served as an Advisory Council Member for the UA Cossatot PTA program, supporting the development of future rehabilitation professionals.

Campbell’s commitment to advancing physical therapy is further reflected in her professional memberships, presentations, and research. A member of the American Physical Therapy Association and Texas Physical Therapy Association since 2006, she co-authored a peer-reviewed publication comparing dry needling with sham treatment on vertical jump performance. Her career combines extensive clinical expertise, leadership, teaching, research, and a dedication to improving patient outcomes. Through her specialized knowledge and passion for rehabilitation, Campbell continues to make a meaningful contribution to the physical therapy profession and the patients and communities she serves.
