Dr. Leda Kaveh, PsyD (She/Her), is a licensed clinical psychologist and the Founder/CEO of Washington Psychological Wellness, a boutique-style mental health practice serving the Washington, DC–Baltimore region. Based in Gaithersburg and Rockville, Maryland, her practice offers integrative therapy, coaching, and comprehensive psychological assessment for children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Dr. Kaveh is known for creating a warm, collaborative, and non-sterile environment where clients feel safe, respected, and empowered to grow. She values authenticity, inclusivity, humor, and compassion, and is deeply committed to providing holistic, multicultural care to individuals of all backgrounds.
Dr. Kaveh graduated summa cum laude with honors from University of Maryland and earned both her Master’s and Doctorate of Clinical Psychology (PsyD) from American School of Professional Psychology in Washington, DC. Originally intending to pursue law, she discovered through her volunteer and advocacy work that her true calling was psychology. As an undergraduate, she served as a Victim’s Advocate at Prince George’s County Hospital’s Sexual Assault Center and as a Crisis Counselor for Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN), coordinating care for survivors navigating both trauma and the legal system. Her doctoral training included neuropsychological assessment and concussion research at Children’s National Medical Center, as well as clinical work in DC Public Schools and at American University’s Counseling Center. She is trained in EMDR through the Trauma and Child Trauma Institute and in the Gottman Method for couples therapy, and completed her residency and postdoctoral fellowship at Prince William Family Counseling.
Since becoming licensed around 2017–2018, Dr. Kaveh has expanded her vision beyond traditional therapy. In addition to Washington Psychological Wellness, she founded Washington Insight Solutions, a sister practice specializing in neuropsychological and psychological testing, including ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, work accommodation assessments, and diagnostic clarification. Today, her growing team includes dozens of providers offering both in-person and telehealth services. Dr. Kaveh’s mission is to help individuals live authentically and align with the lives they envision, addressing anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, identity concerns, and more. Looking ahead, she aims to expand into integrated care by adding prescribing services and additional holistic modalities, continuing to build a collaborative space where clients are seen fully and treated with dignity and respect.

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
What I love most about my work is really simple: helping people. I'm really down to earth and take the time to get to know each individual client on a very holistic level. When you come in for a therapy, treatment, or testing session at either Washington Psychological Wellness or Washington Insight Solutions, we value the holistic approach, and we're known for providing boutique-style therapy and testing. I want you to come in and have it feel like you're someplace cozy and warm, where you're greeted and treated like a human. I don't like the whole sterile hospital feeling, so I feel that we provide an environment where people can really just let loose and relax and open up the best they can.
