Laura Elkins Thomison, RN, BSN, is a dedicated registered nurse currently advancing her education as a graduate student at Maryville University of Saint Louis, pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP). With a strong foundation in acute care nursing, Laura earned both her ASN and BSN from Dalton State College, where she also completed minors in Health & Wellness and Business. Throughout her nursing career, Laura has gained extensive experience in acute care, including roles at AdventHealth and Hamilton Medical Center, where she has provided compassionate care for patients across diverse clinical settings. She has specialized in hemodialysis, cardiac catheterization recovery, hydration nursing, and IV therapy, demonstrating a focus on both technical proficiency and holistic patient well-being. She has held managerial positions, such as Accounting Controller & Business Operations Manager, where she implemented health benefits administration and streamlined payroll systems across multiple companies.
