Lara Kirchner is the Nursing Director at Fairfax Surgical Center, where she oversees six operating rooms and 24 recovery beds in a multi-service surgery center serving Northern Virginia. With extensive experience in perioperative nursing and surgical services management, she leads teams across a range of specialties including ENT, ophthalmology, urology, orthopedics, and total joint procedures. Lara is known for her operational expertise, patient advocacy, and commitment to delivering high-quality care in both hospital and surgery center settings.
Lara earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Penn State University and a Master’s degree in Business Administration and Management, Information Management, from American Military University. She has achieved multiple professional certifications, including CNOR, CNAMB, CSSM, CRCST, CHL, and CIS, and recently obtained the Certificate of Mastery in ASC Administrator Essentials. Her career spans leadership roles in healthcare organizations such as HCA Healthcare, Kaiser Permanente, and the U.S. Navy, where she managed clinical operations, sterile processing, and perioperative services.
