Karla Páez Torres, M.S., is a licensed psychologist from Puerto Rico whose early professional journey reflects a strong commitment to supporting children, adolescents, and vulnerable populations. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, she currently serves at the CAMI Center in Las Piedras, where she works as a school psychologist. In this role, she provides specialized support to children receiving special education services, including those navigating ADHD, autism, and conduct-related challenges. Her work focuses on helping young people develop emotional, behavioral, social, and academic coping skills that can positively influence their growth and well-being.

Ms. Páez Torres earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Puerto Rico in 2019 and completed her Master’s degree at Ponce Health Sciences University in December 2024. Her academic preparation has included additional graduate-level training related to autism studies, strengthening her understanding of the unique needs of children with developmental and behavioral differences. She has also contributed to the field through scholarly work, including an article published in 2021 in Behavioral Sciences Magazine in affiliation with Carlos Albizu University. Her dedication to continued learning reflects her desire to provide thoughtful, informed, and compassionate support to those she serves.

Beyond her professional responsibilities, Ms. Páez Torres has demonstrated a passion for empowering others through education and community involvement. She has collaborated with the Miss Puerto Rico organization, where she has delivered workshops focused on self-esteem and empowerment. She is also affiliated with major professional organizations, including the American Psychological Association (APA), reflecting her commitment to professional development and engagement within the psychology community. Her professional philosophy is grounded in service, excellence, compassion, and a sincere desire to help individuals—particularly young people—develop the tools they need to navigate challenges and build healthier, more confident futures.

Her vision for the future extends beyond traditional psychological services. Ms. Páez Torres aspires to establish her own holistic care center where psychology can be integrated with creative and wellness-based approaches, including music, dance, art therapy, and other supportive modalities. She envisions a space where individuals can address their emotional and psychological needs while exploring creative avenues for expression, healing, and personal development. This vision reflects her belief that meaningful care can extend beyond addressing immediate challenges and can instead nurture the whole person.

Outside of psychology, Ms. Páez Torres has spent approximately four years involved in modeling and has participated in pageantry, earning distinctions including first runner-up and a Best Talent award. She is preparing to represent Puerto Rico in an international modeling competition in the Dominican Republic, further demonstrating her confidence, discipline, and dedication to personal growth. Her interests include singing, acting, the arts, exercise, and learning languages such as Korean and Japanese. Through the combination of her psychological training, advocacy for young people, creative pursuits, and commitment to service, Karla Páez Torres continues to build a multifaceted career centered on empowerment, compassion, and the belief that every individual has the potential to thrive.
