Kailyn Elliott, FNP-BC, DNP
Dr. Kailyn Elliott, MD, is a physician and healthcare leader with a comprehensive background in both clinical nursing and medicine. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Washington School of Nursing. His dual expertise in nursing and medicine provides him with a unique perspective on patient care, clinical operations, and healthcare systems.
Throughout his career, Dr. Elliott has cultivated extensive clinical experience in diverse settings, including neuroscience step-down units, emergency departments, cardiac telemetry, orthopedic surgery, trauma, psychiatry, and rehabilitation. He worked as a registered nurse at several institutions, honing his skills in direct patient care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and evidence-based practice. His nursing foundation continues to inform his approach to patient safety, quality care, and healthcare innovation.
As Chief Executive Officer of HealthMate, PLLC, Dr. Elliott leads a Pacific Northwest organization focused on correctional medicine. In this role, he oversees financial operations, nursing staff management, clinical education, and infection prevention initiatives, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care while minimizing medical liability. His leadership demonstrates a commitment to operational excellence and the development of healthcare teams.
Dr. Elliott has also been actively involved in volunteering and public health initiatives. He has contributed to physician-led HIV outreach programs, participated in the Remote Area Medical Clinic providing care to underserved populations, and has utilized his nursing and Spanish-language skills to support diverse patient communities. His dedication to service reflects a lifelong commitment to improving access to healthcare and promoting health equity.
In addition to his clinical and leadership accomplishments, Dr. Elliott has engaged in research focused on genomic medicine and patient attitudes toward whole genome sequencing. He was awarded the TL1 National Research Fellowship by the National Institutes of Health, recognizing his contributions to translational science and patient education.
