Joshua began his professional career in mental health as a clinical social work intern at Elmhurst Hospital Center and the Pratt Institute Office of Health and Counseling, where he provided supportive therapy and psychoeducation to diverse populations, including students and adults with severe mental illness. His work emphasized holistic care, integrating mental health support with life skills development and community resources, particularly for underserved populations facing socio-economic challenges.
In addition to his clinical work, Joshua has significant experience in mentoring and supporting emerging therapists. At Resilience Lab Psychotherapy in New York City, he worked under clinical supervision while guiding new clinicians in building private practices, providing individual and couples therapy, and fostering professional growth in a supportive environment. His approach emphasizes resilience, self-awareness, and empowerment, enabling clients and colleagues alike to achieve meaningful outcomes.
Before his career in psychotherapy, Joshua cultivated a unique background in the arts and hospitality. He holds a B.F.A. in Acting from Emerson College and completed professional actor training at The William Esper Studio, with a career spanning television, commercials, and theater.
