Jennifer Cotton, MS, LPC
Jennifer Cotton, MS, LPC, is a licensed professional counselor based in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, specializing in outpatient care for adults. With expertise in trauma, anxiety, depression, and mood disorders, she employs evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to each individual’s needs. Jennifer also provides counseling for relationship and marital concerns, family dynamics, low self-esteem, identity exploration, and sexuality-related issues, combining clinical skill with empathy and understanding.
A former service member, Jennifer brings a unique perspective to her work, particularly in supporting military veterans navigating trauma and high-stress experiences. Her training includes Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, and she incorporates the Gottman Method for couples counseling. Conducting her clinical work virtually, Jennifer ensures accessible and continuous care for her patients, reaching those who benefit most from telehealth services.
Jennifer earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology/Pre-Med from Baylor University and her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Tarleton State University. Her clinical experience includes internships at Millwood Hospital in Arlington, Texas, and Mesa Springs in Fort Worth, where she gained hands-on experience with diverse patient populations. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys running and participating in anime conventions, pursuits that reflect both her dedication to personal wellness and her appreciation for creative communities. Jennifer continues to pursue her passion for mental health and plans to earn a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology to further deepen her understanding of complex clinical issues.
