Jennifer P. Bedoy, LPC, CCTP, NIDHW, CGCS is a licensed professional counselor with extensive experience in mental health services across diverse populations. Fluent in English and Spanish and conversant in American Sign Language, she excels at creating strong therapeutic alliances through empathetic listening and culturally responsive communication. Jennifer began her professional journey at the British School of Chicago, where she supported students with varying academic needs and fostered an environment of learning and growth. She continued her practical training at CUC Community Counseling Center, providing counseling services to the community while developing interventions and preventative strategies. Her early experiences laid a strong foundation for her commitment to mental health advocacy and evidence-based therapeutic practices.

At the Anixter Center in Chicago, Jennifer advanced from Mental Health Specialist to Program Manager, managing programs that included individual therapy, case management, and psycho-social rehabilitation. She supervised interns, facilitated community support groups, completed comprehensive assessments, and collaborated with clinicians and local agencies to ensure continuity of care. Her leadership was instrumental in developing program structures, financial management, and scheduling, highlighting her ability to combine clinical expertise with administrative acumen.

Since February 2022, Jennifer has served as a psychotherapist at CFC Therapy Group in Chicago, where she maintains a caseload of over 40 clients. She develops individualized treatment plans, conducts crisis assessments, coordinates care with psychiatrists and schools, and provides company-based mental health support. Her innovative approach to therapy and dedication to client outcomes have strengthened both individual and organizational wellness, earning her recognition in professional interviews such as NPR’s Self-Soothing.

Jennifer holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Concordia University, River Forest, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Spanish from Northeastern Illinois University. She is certified as a Clinical Trauma Professional, Digital Health & Wellness Specialist, and Grief Counselor, and is Safe Zone Trained. What I enjoy most about practicing therapy is helping people. Being able to support individuals as they navigate challenges, gain insight, and grow in their lives is deeply rewarding and motivates me every day.
