Janet Morioka, PT, DPT, OCS

Janet Morioka, PT, DPT, OCS, is an accomplished physical therapist and Area Manager at Doctors of Physical Therapy, where she has served since 2017. With extensive clinical experience across orthopedic, neuromuscular, and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, she is recognized for her commitment to evidence-based practice and high-quality patient care. As both a clinician and leader, Janet is dedicated to fostering excellence across her teams while ensuring every patient receives individualized, results-driven treatment.

Janet’s clinical foundation is rooted in her diverse training, which includes full-time internships in outpatient and inpatient settings at Northwestern Medicine, Athletico, and HealthSouth Rehabilitation Center. She also completed an international volunteer experience in Granada, Nicaragua, where she provided home-based physical therapy, delivered community health education, and developed a daily exercise program for local residents. Her broad exposure to varied patient populations has strengthened her adaptability, clinical judgment, and passion for empowering individuals to regain mobility and function.

A graduate of the University of Illinois Chicago with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree, Janet previously earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Lewis University, where she graduated summa cum laude. She maintains active involvement in professional organizations, including the American Physical Therapy Association and the Illinois Physical Therapy Association. In addition to her clinical work, Janet has contributed to youth development as an assistant volleyball coach and has volunteered in long-term care settings, further reflecting her lifelong dedication to service, mentorship, and community well-being.
