Gary Homeier, MSN, PMC-ED, AGACNP-BC, APNP, is a highly accomplished Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with a distinguished background in critical care, interventional pulmonology, and advanced cardiac and trauma nursing. He brings extensive expertise in managing complex adult patients across diverse intensive care environments, including medical, surgical, neurovascular, transplant, and cardiac ICUs. Gary demonstrates advanced proficiency in life-saving interventions and procedures such as Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) management, endotracheal intubation, central venous access, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and other critical care techniques, consistently delivering evidence-based, high-quality care to optimize patient outcomes.
Beyond his clinical excellence, Gary is a dedicated educator and leader committed to advancing nursing practice. He earned a Master of Science in Nursing as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and a Post-Master’s Certificate in Nursing Education from Walden University. His leadership roles have included serving as Intensive Care Clinical Orientation Coordinator and Neurovascular & Trauma Clinical Educator, where he mentored new critical care nurses and developed comprehensive educational programs to strengthen clinical competency and promote best practices.
