Elysia Mason, BSN, RN, IBCLC

At the heart of Mason Lactation and Wellness is Elysia Mason—a mother, Registered Nurse, and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with over 15 years of experience guiding families through the transformative journey of infant feeding. Elysia is dedicated to creating a warm, supportive, and judgment-free environment where every parent feels seen, heard, and respected. Her approach combines clinical expertise with heartfelt care, tailoring support to each family’s unique needs.

Elysia holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, graduating cum laude, and is a proud recipient of the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses. She has been nominated seven times for the award and won in 2021, reflecting her compassionate and skillful care. Elysia is also an active member of the South Carolina Nurses Association (SCNA), staying connected to the latest best practices in nursing and maternal-child health.

Throughout her career, she has served as an RN and IBCLC at East Cooper Medical Center, providing both in-person and telehealth consultations, breastfeeding education, individualized care plans, and postpartum support. Beyond clinical practice, Elysia’s work includes lactation product distribution and education, empowering families to make informed choices in feeding their infants.

Elysia’s personal experience as a parent deeply informs her professional mission. She understands the challenges of feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, and unsure while navigating newborn care, and she strives to provide reassurance, guidance, and advocacy for every family she serves. Her philosophy emphasizes that every feeding story is valid, and every parent deserves care that honors their identity, values, and goals.
