She is board-certified in both General Surgery and Vascular Surgery by the American Board of Surgeons and holds Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI) certification. She is licensed to practice in Colorado, Wyoming, and Michigan.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Sponseller maintains strong ties to academic medicine and professional scholarship. She serves as an Adjunct Faculty Member at the University of Northern Colorado, contributing to the education and mentorship of future healthcare professionals.
