Deena B. Chihade, MD, FSVS, RPVI

Dr. Deena Basima Chihade, M.D., F.S.V.S., R.P.V.I., is a highly skilled board‑certified vascular and general surgeon practicing in the St. Louis area. She provides comprehensive care for a broad spectrum of vascular and general surgical conditions, tailoring treatment plans to meet each patient’s unique needs. Dr. Chihade is committed to patient‑centered care and works closely with multiple health systems across the community to ensure accessible, high-quality vascular services.

Dr. Chihade’s strong clinical foundation is supported by an impressive educational and training background. She earned her undergraduate degree in Cell & Structural Biology from the University of Illinois and received her medical degree from Southern Illinois University. She completed her general surgery residency at Emory University, where she also undertook a two-year research fellowship in Sepsis and Critical Care. Following this, she pursued specialized fellowship training in vascular surgery, expanding her expertise in both open and endovascular surgical procedures.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Chihade has contributed to the field through research and scholarship, publishing peer‑reviewed work and advancing knowledge in vascular surgery. She diagnoses and treats complex vascular conditions such as aneurysmal disease, carotid stenosis, chronic venous insufficiency, deep vein thrombosis, and diabetic vascular disease. Known for her dedication to advancing patient care and education, Dr. Chihade remains actively involved in professional societies and continues to serve both the clinical and academic spheres of vascular surgery.
