She served as Director of Laboratory Services for Baylor Scott & White across four campuses, managing comprehensive laboratory operations, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement initiatives. Deborah began her career as a medical technologist, inspired by a curiosity to follow a tube of blood to see what happened—an enthusiasm embraced by her colleagues, which set the foundation for her lifelong dedication to laboratory science.

Throughout her career, Deborah has demonstrated expertise in laboratory management, team leadership, and operational efficiency. She has been instrumental in onboarding and training new hires, educating non-laboratory personnel on laboratory processes, and providing competency testing for laboratory staff.
