Danielle R. Catanese, MSN, APRN, FNP-C
Danielle R. Catanese, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, is a U.S. Navy veteran and Family Nurse Practitioner whose journey in healthcare has been shaped by decades of service, compassion, and a commitment to improving the lives of others. With diverse clinical nursing experience since 2011 and a foundation of military healthcare service as a Hospital Corpsman, EMT, and Surgical Technician, Danielle developed a deep appreciation for teamwork, resilience, and patient advocacy. Her early experiences caring for service members and surgical patients laid the groundwork for a career centered on excellence, integrity, and compassionate care.
Throughout her nursing career, Danielle has cared for patients across a wide range of settings, including urgent care, perioperative services, long-term care, skilled nursing, palliative care, and hospice. She has built expertise in managing complex medical conditions, coordinating care, educating patients and families, and supporting individuals through some of life’s most challenging moments. Her dedication to patient-centered care was especially evident during the first wave of COVID-19, where she provided compassionate hospice care while helping patients and families navigate uncertainty with dignity, comfort, and emotional support.
As an Advanced Practice Provider, Danielle has continued to make a meaningful impact by combining clinical knowledge with a personalized approach to medicine. She has contributed to improved patient outcomes through disease management, preventive care initiatives, interdisciplinary collaboration, and healthcare education. Her leadership efforts have helped enhance quality measures, reduce hospital readmissions, strengthen communication among care teams, and create supportive environments where patients receive individualized treatment aligned with their goals.
In 2025, Danielle founded The Healing House PLLC, a patient-centered primary care practice dedicated to increasing access to thoughtful, personalized healthcare for individuals ages 12 and older. Through The Healing House, she created a welcoming medical home focused on preventive wellness, acute and chronic illness management, health education, and meaningful patient relationships. She believes healthcare should extend beyond treating symptoms—it should empower individuals through education, partnership, and support while connecting patients with community resources that promote lifelong well-being.
Driven by her passion for serving others, Danielle continues to advocate for accessible, compassionate, and holistic healthcare. Her areas of interest include chronic disease education, women’s health and menopausal care, care of older adults, and community wellness initiatives. Through her experience as a nurse, nurse practitioner, military veteran, and practice owner, Danielle remains committed to creating a healthcare experience where every patient feels heard, respected, and supported throughout their health journey.

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
I enjoy people and learning new things. Medicine is the one place you can meet people from all walks of life, learn their stories and what makes them unique, collaborate meaningfully and make huge differences in their health or quality of life. Medicine is always evolving, we discover new things everyday about the human body and its processes, and I enjoy being able to bring new recommendations, guidelines, treatment modalities and into my practice to enhance the experience and increase the value of time spent with me. The relationships developed between provider and patient and lifelong learning are what I believe make the difference between good and great health outcomes.
