Courtney J. Mendenhall

Courtney Mendenhall is an author and private mental performance coach with Athlete’s Untapped, dedicated to helping athletes develop the mindset, confidence, and emotional resilience needed to perform at their best. She works with athletes across developmental stages, focusing on the mental and behavioral factors that influence consistency, decision-making, and long-term growth. Her coaching philosophy emphasizes the whole athlete, blending performance psychology with self-awareness, discipline, and intentional habits.

Courtney holds a Doctorate in Business Administration with a specialization in Sports Administration from St. Thomas University, as well as a Master’s degree in Coaching and Sports Administration from Concordia University Texas. Her academic background is complemented by hands-on experience as a Qualified Mental Health Professional and as a Spanish teacher and middle school softball coach, where she supported student-athletes both in and out of competition. These roles have shaped her holistic, student-athlete–centered approach to performance and development.

As a coach and mentor, Courtney is deeply influenced by continued education, lived experience, and her passion for empowering the next generation. She is committed to creating environments where athletes feel supported, understood, and equipped to navigate pressure both in sport and in life. Through individualized mental performance training, authorship, and mentorship, Courtney helps athletes uncover what truly drives their performance and guides them toward sustainable success.
