Cobey West, PT
Cobey West is a dedicated physical therapist and Staff Sergeant in the Louisiana National Guard with over two decades of service, including deployments in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn. His military experience has instilled in him discipline, resilience, and a strong commitment to helping others achieve their fullest potential.
Cobey earned his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where he was actively involved in the Kinesiology Professionals Association and Sigma Alpha Lambda. He went on to complete his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) at LSU Health Shreveport, specializing in orthopedics and sports physical therapy. He combines his deep understanding of human physiology with hands-on experience to help patients recover, improve mobility, and maximize functional performance.
Outside of his professional life, Cobey is passionate about volunteer work and has contributed to Habitat for Humanity for over a decade. He also enjoys staying active through exercise and sports, embodying the same dedication to health and wellness that he encourages in his patients. His approach to therapy emphasizes individualized care, evidence-based practices, and helping every patient live their best life.
