Clarisa Blakemore, RN, CADDCT

Clarisa Blakemore, RN, CADDCT, is an experienced travel nurse with a 13-year career spanning geriatrics, home health, step-down cardiac care, med-surgical, and pediatrics. She completes preceptorships and volunteers at Deaconess Hospital in Mount Vernon and is actively developing a home-health business, Care with Compassion. Throughout her career, Clarisa has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a variety of healthcare settings. Her professional philosophy is faith-driven and people-centered, grounded in her love for others and her belief in making a positive impact on healthcare. Clarisa strives to "be the change" she wants to see in the field, emphasizing total wellness and compassionate, individualized care. She attributes much of her success to her dedication to people and her guiding faith, which inspires her approach to nursing and mentorship. Over her career, Clarisa has gained a breadth of clinical experience, including approximately five years as a travel nurse and extensive work in geriatrics, home health, step-down cardiac, med-surgical, and pediatric care. She is a BSN candidate at McKendree University (expected graduation in July), holds an Associate of Nursing degree from Rend Lake College, and obtained her LPN license from Beck Career Center. She is an active member of the Illinois Healthcare Association, volunteers on various boards, and encourages nurses to embrace compassion and stay true to a person-centered calling.
