Clarisa Blakemore, BSN, RN, CADDCT
Clarisa Blakemore, BSN, RN, CADDCT, is an experienced registered nurse whose 13-year career has been dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care across a diverse range of healthcare settings. Her clinical background includes geriatrics, home health, step-down cardiac care, medical-surgical nursing, and pediatrics. With approximately five years of experience as a travel nurse, Clarisa has developed a broad perspective on healthcare delivery and has demonstrated adaptability, clinical expertise, and a steadfast commitment to supporting patients and their families throughout every stage of care.
In addition to her clinical work, Clarisa is passionate about professional development, mentorship, and strengthening the nursing profession. She completes preceptorships and volunteers at Deaconess Hospital in Mount Vernon, where she contributes her knowledge and experience to the development of future healthcare professionals. She is also actively developing her home-health business, Care with Compassion, reflecting her vision of providing individualized care that addresses the whole person and promotes total wellness.
Clarisa’s professional philosophy is deeply rooted in compassion, service, and a people-centered approach to healthcare. Guided by her faith and her belief in the importance of making a positive difference in the lives of others, she strives to “be the change” she wants to see in the healthcare field. Her approach to nursing emphasizes empathy, individualized care, and the belief that every patient deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and genuine compassion. She also encourages fellow nurses to remain connected to the purpose and calling that brought them to the profession.
Clarisa earned her Associate Degree in Nursing from Rend Lake College and obtained her Licensed Practical Nurse credential from Beck Career Center. She is pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at McKendree University, with graduation expected in July. An active member of the Illinois Healthcare Association, she also volunteers on various boards and remains committed to lifelong learning and professional growth. Through her clinical experience, mentorship, community involvement, and vision for Care with Compassion, Clarisa continues to promote a more compassionate, holistic, and person-centered approach to nursing.
