Chrisantus Asong, RN, MSN is a dedicated healthcare professional at MedStar Washington Hospital Center, where he combines clinical excellence with a strong commitment to patient-centered care. Originally beginning his professional journey as an engineer in Africa, Chrisantus discovered his true passion in healthcare and transitioned into nursing—a field that allows him to unite technical problem-solving with compassionate service. His determination to grow and make a meaningful impact has shaped a career defined by dedication, integrity, and lifelong learning.

Chrisantus earned both his Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing Informatics from Grand Canyon University, where he developed a deep understanding of how technology and data can improve patient care outcomes. His engineering background provides him with a unique analytical approach to clinical challenges, supporting efficiency, safety, and quality in hospital operations. Always striving to advance his expertise, he is currently considering pursuing a Ph.D. to further contribute to nursing innovation and leadership.

Outside of work, Chrisantus enjoys traveling and exploring new cultures. He makes it a priority to visit his home in Africa at least once a year, where he reconnects with his roots, family, and community. His journey from engineering to nursing stands as a testament to his resilience, adaptability, and enduring passion for healthcare excellence.
