Caitlin B. Iorio, MD

Dr. Caitlin Iorio, MD is a board-certified Otolaryngologist (ENT) and a distinguished facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon, renowned for her expertise in both functional and aesthetic procedures. She seamlessly integrates medical precision with an artistic approach, delivering outcomes that are not only aesthetically refined but also clinically sound. Dr. Iorio is highly regarded for her empathetic patient care, meticulous attention to detail, and her commitment to creating personalized treatment plans that meet the unique needs and goals of each patient.

Dr. Iorio’s academic foundation and clinical training are exemplary. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Medical Humanities from the University of South Carolina Honors College, where she began her humanitarian medical work during a trip to Haiti, caring for orphans in the aftermath of a devastating hurricane. She completed her medical degree at the Medical University of South Carolina, receiving multiple merit-based scholarships, an NIH grant for research in endoscopic skull base surgery, and serving as an anatomy tutor for nursing students. Following medical school, she pursued a rigorous five-year residency in Otolaryngology at the University of Virginia, where she trained under the guidance of world-renowned facial plastic surgeon Dr. Stephen S. Park and received numerous research awards. Dr. Iorio further honed her expertise in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery during a fellowship with Dr. P. Daniel Ward in Salt Lake City, Utah, where she cultivated strong connections with patients, colleagues, and the local community.

Hailing from Lancaster, South Carolina, Dr. Iorio attributes her resilience, dedication, and commitment to compassionate patient care to her upbringing in a family of strong, hardworking women. Her lifelong passion for the arts including dance, music, and painting infuses her surgical practice with creativity, allowing her to approach each procedure as both a science and an art form. Beyond her surgical career, Dr. Iorio enjoys an active lifestyle including snowboarding, skiing, skydiving, running, hiking, and water sports, as well as travel, attending concerts, and spending quality time with friends and family. She is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the region and actively volunteers with Leaps of Hope, reflecting her dedication to community service and advancing healthcare.
