Brittany Barnett, APRN
Brittany Barnett is a nurse practitioner with nearly 16 years of healthcare experience and almost six years as an advanced practice provider. She is the founder and owner of Journey Health and Wellness, a comprehensive private practice she launched in 2025 after starting as a telehealth business in 2024. Her practice offers a wide range of services including primary care, aesthetics, IV wellness, hormone balancing, medical-grade skincare, and home visits, providing patients with a seamless, one-stop destination for both medical care and wellness enhancement.
Specializing in family practice, Brittany works with patients of all ages, with a particular passion for geriatrics and pediatrics. She also serves as a consulting provider at a local children’s hospital, bridging community-based care with hospital collaboration to ensure comprehensive treatment across the lifespan.
Brittany’s journey into nursing was deeply personal. After losing her brother to cancer at the age of seventeen, she witnessed the profound impact that compassionate nurses had on her family. That experience inspired her to become a nurse and later transition to an advanced practice role, allowing her to provide comprehensive, hands-on care while supporting physicians in delivering high-quality healthcare.
She began her career in nursing homes and geriatric settings, gaining a strong foundation in long-term and complex care management. Over time, her dedication to family medicine led her to pursue nurse practitioner licensure, expanding her ability to treat patients holistically and provide the attentive care that modern healthcare often lacks.
Brittany’s academic journey began at Ozarka College, where she completed her LPN and RN training, and continued at Walden University, earning both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing.
As an entrepreneur, Brittany designed her practice philosophy around patient-centered care, maintaining control over patient volume to ensure each individual receives unrushed, personalized attention. Looking ahead, she plans to expand Journey Health and Wellness to include fitness, nutrition, and personal training services, integrating lifestyle transformation with medical care. She also emphasizes sustainable wellness strategies, such as combining GLP-1 therapies with nutrition and exercise, to help patients achieve lasting health outcomes.
Through her work, Brittany demonstrates that modern primary care can be both clinically rigorous and deeply personal. Her approach combines innovation, empathy, and vision, offering patients not only treatment but a pathway toward lasting wellness—while also embracing a balanced life that allows her to pursue personal passions, including international travel.
