Brandie Sanders, LMSW-C
Brandie Sanders, LMSW-C, is a dedicated trauma therapist whose work is rooted in both professional expertise and deeply personal experience. With over a decade in social work, she has supported individuals navigating grief, complex trauma, and attachment wounds, primarily in high-intensity crisis and inpatient settings. Having grown up in the foster care system and spent much of her early life in therapy, Brandie’s path into the field was shaped by firsthand understanding of the healing process, fueling her commitment to helping others feel seen, supported, and empowered.
Her approach to therapy is integrative and holistic, addressing the mind, body, and spirit as interconnected parts of healing. Brandie specializes in working with adults experiencing chronic stress, emotional overwhelm, and disconnection, guiding them beyond surface-level coping strategies. She incorporates somatic practices, movement, and creative expression alongside traditional therapeutic techniques to help clients regulate their nervous systems, process unresolved trauma, and reconnect with themselves in a meaningful and sustainable way. Her work is especially centered on helping individuals move out of survival mode and into a place of safety and self-trust.
As the creator of the Void Cycle™, Brandie has developed a unique framework designed to help clients understand why they feel stuck and how to move forward with clarity and intention. After recognizing gaps in traditional mental health systems, she established her own practice to provide more personalized, whole-person care. Currently offering primarily virtual services, Brandie envisions expanding into a dedicated holistic wellness space that includes yoga, community events, and creative healing modalities. She also plans to author a book on the Void Cycle™, continuing her mission to help others rediscover their voice, purpose, and sense of home within themselves.

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
What I find most rewarding about my work is seeing women reframe thoughts they've had about themselves. I think there can be a negative cognition around therapy and mental health, and a lot of people go into it feeling like they need to be fixed or something's wrong with them. What's been really effective and inspiring is helping them understand that patterns can be unlearned and can be changed - it's not necessarily their personality, but more about how they've learned to protect themselves. Watching that transformation and shift in perspective is incredibly meaningful to me.
