Bonnie Lou Ricard, MEd, NCC, LPC is the founder and lead therapist of Serenity Counseling, a welcoming mental health practice in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania dedicated to providing a safe, supportive environment for adults seeking clarity, healing, and personal growth. With more than two decades of experience in the counseling profession, Bonnie specializes in helping individuals navigate relational challenges, life transitions, emotional distress, grief, trauma, and crisis. She also has extensive background in substance use treatment and the far-reaching effects addiction can have on individuals and their families.
Bonnie is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania and is certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors. She completed her undergraduate studies at Kent State University and earned her Master’s in Counseling from the University of Pittsburgh.
Known for her calm presence and strengths-focused approach, Bonnie empowers clients to rediscover their inner resilience and build practical strategies for moving forward with confidence. In addition to her private practice, she serves as a therapist at Orenda Counseling Center in O’Hara Township and is affiliated with Gateway Rehabilitation Center, continuing her commitment to accessible and compassionate mental health care.
