Benton Ashe, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Adult Outpatient Therapist based in Nashville, Tennessee, providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care to adults ages 18 and older. He earned his Master of Social Work from Appalachian State University in 2021 and his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Elon University. With a strong commitment to helping individuals heal and grow, Benton creates a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered.

Benton brings a diverse background in behavioral health, with experience across multiple levels of care and community-based services. Before his current role with Headway, he worked as a Case Manager with Ballad Health and as a Family Intervention Specialist with Youth Villages, providing therapeutic support to children, families, and caregivers. He also served as a Survivor Advocate Intern with OASIS Inc., supporting survivors of intimate partner violence through crisis counseling, safety planning, and advocacy, as well as a Client Services Intern with the Urban Ministry Center, assisting individuals experiencing homelessness through counseling and resource navigation.

Benton specializes in supporting clients experiencing PTSD, complex PTSD, narcissistic abuse, grief, anxiety disorders, depression, substance abuse concerns, parenting challenges, and the effects of difficult relationships and emotional abuse. His clinical approach incorporates evidence-based modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and solution-focused therapy. As a Nurturing Parenting certified clinician, Benton is passionate about helping clients develop healthier relationships, strengthen coping skills, rebuild their sense of identity, and regain control over their lives.

Benton believes that everyone has the ability to heal when provided with the right support, tools, and opportunity. He views therapy as a collaborative process tailored to each individual’s unique experiences and goals. Outside of his clinical work, Benton enjoys reading science fiction, fantasy, and mystery novels, watching movies and television series, staying active through exercise, and spending time with his cat, Cheddar. Through his compassionate care and dedication to client empowerment, Benton continues to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those navigating complex emotional and life challenges.
