Dr. Annette C. James is a licensed professional counselor based in Tupelo, Mississippi, dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with clarity and confidence. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Family and Human Development from Mississippi University for Women, a Master’s degree in Counselor Education and an Educational Specialist Degree in School Counseling from Mississippi State University, and a Doctor of Education in Counselor Leadership from Delta State University. In addition, she is board-certified in tele-mental health, reflecting her commitment to accessible, modern, and high-quality care. Dr. James is also a national certified counselor, and a national certified school counselor

Through Dreams Over Distractions Consulting & Counseling Services, Dr. James provides online therapy for teens, adults, and seniors, offering flexible weekday and evening appointments to fit the needs of diverse clients. She supports individuals facing a wide range of concerns, including anger, anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, low self-esteem, stress, and oppositional defiance.
