Angela Trunzo, MSW, LSWAIC is a compassionate and skilled clinical social worker who brings empathy, inclusivity, and deep clinical insight to her therapeutic practice. As a Licensed Social Worker Associate Independent Clinical, she is committed to ensuring every individual feels genuinely seen, heard, and supported on their path to healing.

With more than three years of dedicated professional experience, Angela recently joined Sound Resilience Health, where she provides remote therapy to adults and couples. Her clinical focus includes depression, anxiety, trauma recovery, grief, relationship struggles, and major life transitions. In every session, she works collaboratively with clients, empowering them to participate actively in their own growth and renewed sense of self.

Angela’s therapeutic style is rooted in a person-centered philosophy, strengthened by evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness interventions, Attachment Theory, and Couples Therapy approaches. She is especially committed to culturally responsive care and affirms each client’s intersectional identity, fostering a safe space where healing can take place without judgment.

A passionate advocate for women’s mental health, Angela is particularly attuned to the social and emotional stressors women face across different life stages. Her work reflects a deep belief in resilience, self-discovery, and empowerment.

Angela earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Arizona State University and her Master of Social Work from Seattle University. She is actively pursuing full clinical licensure and remains committed to ongoing learning, evidence-based practice, and professional integrity. Her membership in the American Psychological Association further reflects her dedication to high standards in mental health care.

Her calling to trauma-informed work began early in life, sparked by observing powerful advocates for survivors — including figures like Olivia Benson from Law & Order: SVU. Originally drawn to victim advocacy, Angela ultimately discovered that clinical social work perfectly intertwined her passions for counseling, education, and trauma support. Today, she continues to help individuals rebuild their lives with hope, agency, and strength.

Angela credits much of her success to the guidance of trusted supervisors and the unwavering encouragement of her family. Her career is a testament to compassion and perseverance — and she represents the next generation of mental health professionals leading with heart, clinical rigor, and a profound respect for the human experience.
