Andrew Milder, O.D.
Dr. Andrew Milder, OD, is a dedicated optometrist based in Peoria, Illinois, specializing in primary eye care, myopia management, and pre- and post-operative care for cataract and refractive surgeries. He provides comprehensive vision services, including ocular disease management, specialty contact lenses, and vision therapy, while utilizing advanced technologies for dry eye treatment and refractive procedures.
Dr. Milder earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from Indiana University School of Optometry in 2023, graduating with honors and receiving a Graduate Certificate in Business Management. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders from University of Northern Iowa, graduating magna cum laude with minors in Biology and the Study of Religion.
Throughout his career, Dr. Milder has gained extensive clinical experience in both private and VA-affiliated optometry practices. He has completed hundreds of examinations, pre- and post-operative care for procedures such as LASIK, SMILE, PRK, EVO ICL, RLE, and CE/IOL, and treatments using RxSight Light Adjustable Lenses, BlephEx, LipiFlow, and IPL systems. His experience includes orthokeratology, scleral lenses, and ocular disease management across a variety of patient populations.
Dr. Milder has also demonstrated strong leadership and mentorship, serving as President of the Illinois Valley Optometric Society (2024–2025) and tutoring optometry students at Indiana University School of Optometry. He has organized continuing education events, guided students in complex clinical subjects, and supported volunteer vision initiatives including Special Olympics, local wellness fairs, and community vision screenings.
Recognized for his academic excellence, Dr. Milder has received numerous awards and honors, including the Dean's Academic Scholarship at Indiana University, Distinguished Scholar and Dean's Awards at the University of Northern Iowa, and membership in Beta Sigma Kappa, Golden Key International Honour Society, and Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society. His combination of clinical expertise, leadership, and community involvement reflects a deep commitment to advancing eye care and improving patients’ quality of life.
