Aisha Saidy, RN, BSN
Aisha S. is a dedicated and accomplished Registered Nurse with nearly two decades of clinical experience spanning Neuro-Trauma Intensive Care, Surgical ICU, Medical ICU, eICU, and in-home infusion therapy. She currently serves as a Neuro-Trauma ICU Registered Nurse at a Level I Trauma Hospital under HCA Healthcare in Plano, Texas, where she provides highly specialized care to patients with complex neurological and hemodynamic conditions, including post-operative craniotomies and vascular cases. Her practice is grounded in precision, compassion, and a strong commitment to patient safety and outcomes.
Throughout her critical care career, Aisha has developed extensive expertise in advanced life-support therapies such as CRRT, hypothermia protocols, external ventricular drains (EVDs), mechanical ventilation, tracheostomy care, and wound management systems. She is actively involved in emergency response initiatives and is known for mentoring and supporting new graduate nurses as they transition into high-acuity environments. Across healthcare systems including Baylor Scott & White Health, Steward Health Care, and Trinity Health, Aisha has consistently demonstrated leadership in multidisciplinary collaboration, evidence-based practice implementation, and regulatory compliance.
Aisha’s academic achievements reflect her professional excellence and lifelong dedication to learning. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University, graduating with a 3.95 GPA, receiving President’s List honors, and being inducted into both Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society and The National Society of Collegiate Scholars. In addition to her hospital-based role, she serves as an independent infusion nurse with AmeriPharma Specialty Care, delivering complex home-based therapies including immunoglobulin infusions, chemotherapy, total parenteral nutrition, and long-term antibiotic treatments. Fluent in English, Wolof, and Mandingo, Aisha is also an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses and the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses.
Driven by a passion for service beyond the bedside, Aisha founded The Village Girl Initiative in 2015. Through this nonprofit organization, she collaborates with local doctors and nurses in The Gambia, West Africa, to provide free wellness clinics in remote and underserved communities where access to basic healthcare is limited. Outside of nursing and humanitarian work, Aisha enjoys skydiving, zip-lining, reading, and spending quality time with her two daughters. She continues to advance her practice through ongoing professional development, advocacy, and global health outreach, embodying a career defined by excellence, compassion, and purpose.
