Aiida Grant, BSN, RN, CCRN
Aiida Grant, BSN, RN, CCRN, is an Emergency Department Registered Nurse, nurse leader, and Adjunct Clinical Nursing Instructor whose career reflects a steadfast commitment to advancing patient safety, nursing education, and community health. She currently practices in a Level II Trauma Center, where she provides compassionate, evidence-based care to patients experiencing a wide range of medical, surgical, and traumatic emergencies. Her dedication to excellence and patient-centered care has established her as a trusted healthcare professional and mentor.
Aiida began her healthcare career as a Psychiatric Technician before earning her Associate Degree in Nursing from Mt. San Antonio College. She later completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at California State University San Marcos. Her experience across multiple areas of healthcare has shaped a holistic approach to patient care that emphasizes clinical excellence, teamwork, collaboration, and lifelong learning.
In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Aiida is passionate about educating and mentoring future nurses. As an Adjunct Clinical Nursing Instructor and clinical preceptor, she guides nursing students and newly hired emergency nurses while fostering critical thinking, professionalism, and evidence-based practice. She also supports interprofessional education through the Clinical Skills Lab and Health Careers Resource Center at Mt. San Antonio College, helping prepare students from various healthcare disciplines for successful careers.
Aiida is an active leader within her profession, serving as Chair of the Emergency Department Medication Safety Task Force, where she leads interdisciplinary initiatives focused on improving medication safety and enhancing patient outcomes. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses Inland Empire Chapter as Membership Chair, supporting professional engagement and the advancement of nursing excellence throughout the region. Her commitment to community outreach includes promoting stroke awareness, sepsis education, hands-only CPR, preventive health education, and medication safety through innovative public health initiatives.
Recognized as a 2026 America's Best in Medicine Honoree, Aiida remains dedicated to serving others through clinical excellence, leadership, education, and community service. She believes meaningful healthcare extends beyond treating illness—it also includes educating, mentoring, and empowering both patients and future healthcare professionals. What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
What I enjoy most about nursing is the diversity and complexity of critical care. I appreciate that this field offers so many different modalities and pathways, which keeps the work both challenging and meaningful. What is especially rewarding to me is seeing patients progress from their most critical, vulnerable moments toward recovery and improvement. I care for individuals from all walks of life facing a wide range of conditions, including DKA, ventilator management, and other high-acuity medical challenges.
I am also deeply committed to patient and family advocacy. It is important to me to help patients and their loved ones understand what is happening, answer their questions, and clearly explain medications and procedures. In moments when families feel overwhelmed or uncertain, being able to guide and support them through the experience is one of the most meaningful parts of my role.
