Sharon Namazi, MS, DDS
Dr. Sharon Namazi has dedicated her career to transforming painful dental experiences into opportunities for healing, comfort, and compassionate care. Her passion for endodontics was sparked at age ten when she endured severe tooth pain that required emergency treatment and a root canal. What could have remained a difficult childhood memory instead became the foundational inspiration for her lifelong commitment to helping patients overcome dental pain and preserve their natural teeth.
Today, Dr. Namazi is recognized for her expertise in diagnosing and treating complex tooth pain through patient-centered care that emphasizes empathy, precision, and advanced clinical techniques. She completed her endodontic residency and earned a Master of Oral Sciences degree at the University of Michigan in 2025. Prior to her specialty training, she gained extensive clinical experience in private practice and completed a fellowship in prosthodontics, strengthening her interdisciplinary expertise in both restorative and endodontic care. Her international dental education and advanced training in the United States have equipped her with a broad, comprehensive approach to patient treatment.
Deeply committed to education and mentorship, Dr. Namazi spent nearly three years teaching anatomy to dental and medical students and residents before beginning her specialty training at the University of Michigan. She lectured, mentored, and supervised students in classrooms, laboratories, and clinics, reflecting her dedication to advancing the field and helping future clinicians build strong foundational knowledge.
Clinically, Dr. Namazi specializes in root canal therapy, retreatment cases, endodontic microsurgery, pain management, vital pulp therapy, and regenerative endodontic procedures. She is an active member of the American Association of Endodontists, Michigan Association of Endodontists, Michigan Dental Association, and American Dental Association.

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
What I enjoy most about practicing endodontics is the opportunity to make an immediate and meaningful difference in my patients' lives. Many patients come to me in significant pain or with anxiety about root canal treatment, and it is incredibly rewarding to relieve that pain while preserving their natural teeth.
I enjoy the precision and problem-solving that endodontics requires. Every case presents a unique challenge, and I appreciate combining advanced technology, clinical expertise, and careful decision-making to achieve the best possible outcome. The ability to save a tooth that might otherwise be lost is one of the most satisfying aspects of my profession.
Equally important to me is the patient experience. I strive to create a calm, compassionate environment where patients feel heard, comfortable, and confident throughout their treatment. Helping someone leave the office pain-free and with a positive perception of endodontic care is what makes this specialty so fulfilling for me.
