I founded Enlighten Florida at the end of 2024, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting healthy living initiatives within the Tampa Bay community. My background as a nurse directly influenced my decision to start this nonprofit, as I wanted to create programs that encourage and support healthier lifestyles. I currently split my time equally between my nursing work in utilization management for Elevance Health and my nonprofit initiatives. My vision for Enlighten Florida is to grow from a local organization into one with nationwide reach over the next five years. I strongly believe that healthy living encompasses everyone, and that maintaining good health is foundational to everything else we do. This belief drives my passion for the organization’s mission and the programs we provide throughout the community.

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
What I enjoy most about practicing medicine is that it’s constantly evolving. There’s always something new to learn, and the field never stays static. I love that medicine is dynamic, continually growing, and full of developments that challenge me to stay informed and improve my practice. That constant evolution keeps me motivated and engaged, and it allows me to bring the best care to those I serve.
