William Tom, DDS, MD

Dr. William Tom is a board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with over 30 years of experience in the field. Born in Hong Kong and raised in San Francisco, he earned his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, and his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). He furthered his education with a medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, followed by a general surgery internship and a fellowship in facial cosmetic surgery at the Michigan Center for Cosmetic Surgery in Ann Arbor. Since 1993, Dr. Tom has been serving patients at Bay Area Oral & Facial Surgery in San Francisco.

Dr. Tom specializes in a comprehensive range of oral and maxillofacial procedures, including wisdom teeth extraction, dental implant placement, surgical endodontics, and the treatment of oral pathology. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and holds the position of Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at UCSF. His commitment to professional development is evident in his adherence to continuing education requirements, ensuring he remains at the forefront of advancements in his field.
