Dr. Vanessa Nieves, DPM, is a highly experienced podiatric physician who has been serving patients in Orlando and surrounding communities since December 1996. With more than three decades of clinical experience in podiatric medicine, she is recognized for her compassionate care, clinical excellence, and commitment to improving mobility and quality of life for her patients. She currently practices with Integra Foot & Ankle, LLC, where she provides comprehensive foot and ankle care tailored to each patient’s needs.

Her clinical expertise includes the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of foot and ankle conditions, with a strong focus on diabetic foot care and amputation prevention. Dr. Nieves also treats fungal infections, ingrown toenails, corns and calluses, arthritis, neuropathy, and inflammatory conditions. She has extensive experience in pediatric gait issues and flat feet, as well as prescribing orthopedic shoes and custom orthotics. In addition, she incorporates nutrition and natural supplementation strategies to support overall patient wellness and recovery.

Dr. Nieves earned her Bachelor of Natural Science degree with a major in Biology from Sacred Heart University in 1991, graduating with honors. She gained early clinical research experience at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine before pursuing her Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, graduating in 1995. She completed advanced training in podiatric orthopedics through the Department of Veterans Affairs and continued serving within the VA healthcare system in East Orange, New Jersey.

Throughout her career, she has held leadership and consulting roles in various healthcare settings, including serving as Medical Director and staff physician at Mariners Medical Center. She has also provided house and nursing home consultations for patients requiring specialized podiatric care. Dr. Nieves is a long-standing member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and is affiliated with several professional organizations, including the Florida Podiatric Medical Association and the American Board of Podiatric Medicine.

Beyond her medical practice, Dr. Nieves is deeply committed to community service and humanitarian work. She has volunteered with organizations such as Second Harvest Food Bank, United Against Poverty, and The Salvation Army, and served as a Girl Scout troop leader for a decade. Her outreach includes disaster relief efforts, international volunteer work in Haiti, and animal rescue initiatives. Her contributions to medicine and community service have earned her multiple honors, including Top Podiatrist recognitions, Women of Distinction awards, and Woman of the Year honors.
