What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
I think it's really the immediate gratification that I get from a lot of patients after doing their procedures, and knowing that I've been able to help them, sometimes even in a small way, almost immediately. I feel like a lot of times in some areas of medicine, you're kind of just prescribing medicine and hoping things work, but with a surgical field, you have more of that immediate gratification and really feel like you've put your hands on the patient and played a major role in their health and recovery.
