What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
I love bedside care and caring for patients at the bedside and meeting their needs. I also really enjoy doing the teaching when patients are discharged from the hospital I teach them what to do and what to look out for to prevent readmissions. I especially love working in the emergency room because it's fast-paced and challenging. You get all certain age groups when they come through the ER - whether it's a trauma case, pediatric, mid-adult, or elderly patients, you get all those cases in the ER. It's challenging working at the ER, but I love it. I love challenges and I love to challenge myself with something new or something that I want to learn. When I don't understand something or need more information, I ask my mentors questions so I can learn and understand at the same time, which helps me continue my work within the scope of nursing.
